As part of the Marketing Cloud Practice, I had the opportunity to work on a number of varied client projects in
different capacities; Developer, Business Analyst and Trainer. Alongside the client work I also worked towards a
number of certifications and accreditations, both in SFMC and other emerging technologies, including Braze
Admin certification and Tealium certification, as well as contributing to the other members of the Practices
successes by producing materials to help with their push towards certifications, running learning sessions and
taking co-ownership of the weekly Solutions Review meeting too. Outside of the main focus of the practice I also
setup a weekly team call so team members had a chance to talk and bond outside of SFMC related topics.
Project Work
Heathrow Airport – Developer
As part of the Heathrow project team I was responsible for migrating the email functionality of their parking
platform from Salescloud into Marketing Cloud, taking the results of the API responses from their website and
extracting the relevant information using AMPScript and populating the resulting email with the purchase
information. Creating journeys to send the emails and carrying out end-to-end testing to ensure everything is
working as expected.
Working with the Personalisation team to build, enhance and document deployments to the Heathrow websites
in order to tailor the view to each customer based on the information we have captured on that customer. I have
been using the Marketing Cloud Personalisation platform to build, test, deploy and monitor these enhancements
and feedback the impact of these to the Heathrow leadership team. - Marketing Cloud Expert
As part of the CRM Team I was responsible for the ownership of the Marketing Cloud platform, being involved at
conceptual stages with business stakeholders to scope projects and write up technical execution documentation
for developers to pick up, overseeing builds and running QA and end-to-end testing before go live, acting as the
first point of contact for any MC related issues for colleagues across the business, triaging issues as appropriate
and creating Salesforce reports and dashboards to highlight campaign activity. - Working with marketers to scope out project requirements and turning these specs into Automations and
Journeys within Marketing Cloud Journey Builder and MC Account Engagement Engagements - Answering service request tickets to deliver small requests and fixes where required
- Troubleshooting various issues and problems within Marketing Cloud, MC Account Engagement and our
other systems - Ensuring all data capture programs implemented by marketing teams adhered to GDPR regulations
- Delivering training on Marketing Cloud and MC Account Engagement to new users when required
